January 22, iStock Dogs aren’t known for their picky taste in food, but some pups go beyond the normal trash hunting and start rooting around in poop, whether it be their own or a friend’s. Just why dogs exhibit this behavior is a scientific mystery. Only some dogs do it, and researchers aren’t quite sure where the impulse comes from. But if your dog is a poop eater, it’s nearly impossible to steer them away from their favorite feces. A new study in the journal Veterinary Medicine and Science , spotted by The Washington Post , presents a new theory for what scientists call “canine conspecific coprophagy,” or dogs eating dog poop. In online surveys about domestic dogs’ poop-eating habits completed by thousands of pet owners, the researchers found no link between eating poop and a dog’s sex, house training, compulsive behavior, or the style of mothering they received as puppies. However, they did find one common link between the poop eaters. Most tended to eat only poop that was less than two days old. According to their data, 85 percent of poop-eaters only go for the fresh stuff.

But to be competitive at Russia , here are five things they will need to urgently address. Resolve Ange Postecoglou’s future The future of the national coach remains up in the air, with the ex-Melbourne Victory boss refusing to reveal his intentions after the Honduras games, as rumours swirl that he is considering stepping down. With his determination to play attractive, passing football at all costs, Postecoglou is certainly a man of conviction.
But some might say his unwillingness to relax his ideals for a more pragmatic approach in certain matches almost saw Australia miss out on the World Cup. Even so, Football Federation Australia must do everything they can to keep the year-old. As he showed during the Asian Cup triumph, and at the Confederations Cup, Postecoglou is an excellent tournament coach. He may not be perfect, but it only makes sense that Ange Postecoglou should coach Australia at Russia next year.
Keep Tim Cahill in cotton wool He’ll be only six months short of his 39th birthday when the World Cup finals begin next June, but Cahill simply must go to Russia if he’s fit and able. Starting the second leg against Honduras, Australia’s record scorer was clearly not percent after badly twisting his ankle in an A-League match just 12 days earlier.
But Cahill’s presence on the field, and in the dressing room, gave the Socceroos a massive lift under immense pressure.

Since then, devotion to the Mother of Perpetual Help has grown. One factor that contributed to this phenomenal growth was that innumerable copies of the icon were distributed from Rome throughout the world. Another decisive factor in the spread of the devotion was that the Redemptorists made the icon a missionary and Marian image for the entire Congregation, frequently distributed even today as part of a parish mission preached by the Order.

There is no answer, as some things are only understood by God. Pope Pius IX held the Order in high esteem.

Mexico 6 Great Colonial Mexican Cities Mexico’s colonial cities are alive with culture—bustling markets, Baroque cathedrals, and archaeological museums. Susan Morgan delivers the definitive guide to six that are all an easy drive from the capital. It’s two days after Christmas, and my husband, Tom, and I are on our way to Mexico’s central highlands. Our plan, to explore the country’s fabled colonial cities, was born of circling conversations and books read including eccentric memoirs—stories written by aged conquistadors, tough-minded British freethinkers, and ambassadors’ wives as well as our dedication to visual culture, architectural history, and finding good things to eat.
The colonial era of Mexico, when it was called New Spain, stretched on for years, from the 16th century into the 19th. With the exception of Oaxaca, which is miles southeast of Mexico City, the great colonial towns are all located in the heartland of Mexico. History in colonial cities accumulates layer by layer: According to legend, the costume was originally worn by the China Poblana Chinese Woman of Puebla , an Asian princess captured by pirates and sold into Mexican slavery in A convert to Christianity, she spent her life caring for the city’s sick and poor.
After her death, many native poblanas adopted her bold uniform—a showy blend of Occidental, Oriental, and indigenous styles—and wore it in her honor.

Las Posadas Daily life and social customs Daily life in Mexico varies dramatically according to socioeconomic level, gender, ethnicity and racial perceptions, regional characteristics, rural-versus-urban differences, and other social and cultural factors. Such differences give Mexico much of its character and colour, but they also present the country with stubborn challenges.
But, notwithstanding the vast range of lifestyles and class-based opportunities in Mexico, some similarities are widely shared. Class divisions Mexican society is sharply divided by income and educational level. Although a middle class has struggled to expand in the cities, the principal division is between the wealthy well-educated elite and the urban and rural poor, who constitute the vast majority of the population.
Widespread rural poverty is a serious problem.

May 30, Borussia Dortmund confirm exit of manager Thomas Tuchel after feud Stewart Robson reports from Cardiff to address whether or not Thomas Tuchel’s stock has fallen after his Dortmund stint. Thomas Tuchel will leave Borussia Dortmund after two years in charge amid a clash with the club’s hierarchy, with CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke saying he and sporting director Michael Zorc had “worn ourselves out during this time in our workings with the coaching team.
During Tuchel’s two years in charge, Dortmund finished second and third in the Bundesliga, but the club issued a statement to say that Tuchel, 43, was leaving immediately, one year before his contract was due to expire in In an open letter to fans on Dortmund’s website, Watzke said he could understand that the decision is criticised by some — Tuchel’s points-average in the Bundesliga was better than any other Dortmund coach, and his side remained unbeaten at home for the duration of his tenure.
It’s about reliability and loyalty,” Watzke said. Tuchel joined Dortmund ahead of the season, and in his first year guided them to the highest points tally ever achieved by the runners-up in the Bundesliga. He initially earned praise for getting Dortmund out of the slump of Jurgen Klopp’s final season and for re-introducing an attractive style of attacking play. This season, after a host of off-season changes, Tuchel led Dortmund to third place in the Bundesliga behind promoted Leipzig, while finally winning the German cup.
But on-field success was overshadowed by a rift between Tuchel and the Dortmund leadership dating back to the season and the summer transfer window that followed.

The door from the underworld, to the world of the living, is made with an arch of marigold flowers. The spirits arrive hungry, so their favorite foods are offered. They also arrive very thirsty and far too sober for the celebrations.
