Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. Enjoy swimming in our beautiful Olympic size pool. Certified lifeguards are on duty during pool hours. Small children can enjoy splashing and playing in our kiddie pool. The pool is surrounded by deck and lawns, providing ample space for sunbathing. We have two playgrounds, volleyball, basketball and shuffleboard areas, fishing in our pond, and hiking on the famous Horseshoe Trail, which runs through the campground. For your shopping convenience, our country store carries basic groceries, camping supplies, souvenirs, novelties, toys, games, greeting cards and an ice cream bar, with lots of flavors of hand-dipped ice cream for cones, shakes, sundaes, splits and specialty items.

We offer full hook-ups for any size RV and open vistas for tent and group camping. On the other side there are 3 acres devoted to RV sites with 12 full hookups. These sites are also for sale. The remaining 12 acres are devoted to tent camping. We have free cable tv at all sites 71 channels.

It is a pastime enjoyed by all types of people from the classic tent camper, to those not quite willing to give up all the comforts of home. In our Suffolk County campgrounds, campers enjoy destinations with world-class beauty – from scenic woodland vistas to Ocean front campsites.

Combine that with a variety of recreational opportunities available at our campgrounds, and you’re set for a rewarding experience. These are our largest, most popular parks with the most amenities to offer visitors such as beach front views, hiking trails, swimming and much more. The county camping season generally runs from April through October although many parks entertain visitors year round. We offer winter camping, when possible, for self-contained campers at Indian Island and Cathedral Pines.

The group camping areas can be the perfect location for your family reunion or group outing.

Our camping options are located on the perimeter of the property shaded by large cedars with forest or creek as a boundary. Resort Policies for Mt. Dogs must be leashed at all times and cleaned up after. Out of respect for other guests, dogs prone to barking are not allowed. Check in time Campground arrivals will not be allowed to check in after 9 pm. Out of respect for our other guests, there are no exceptions to this policy.

Quiet time is 10 pm to 8 am. Check out time is noon.

The pools are the same except who was the genius who thought dumping sand along the outskirts of the pool deck was a good idea? I was told by a worker that big changes are coming soon but couldn’t elaborate on the plans yet.

We usually stay in the Oaks in the summer and Upper Chardonnay in the colder months for sunshine and grass. Yes, the grass isn’t the greatest at times but it’s not that bad. The village looks great now, but I’d like to see some live bands play and allow us to bring in our own beverages. I know, it’s a liability.

But that’s the reason we don’t go down there.
